Henrietta at Midnight

Henrietta was a homely, plain, bitter woman who secretly loved a law student. Then one Mardi Gras night she walked into a mask and costume store and met a mysterious mask maker. He gave her a mask to wear but told her she must return it by midnight. Henrietta wore the mask and enters the street of merry makers where she met a reveler (the law student) who invites her to join him for the evening of dancing and merriment. By the end of the evening he falls in love with her. He begs her to remove the mask but she doesn’t want him to see her face. Just before midnight she runs away but the reveler follows her and begs her remove the mask which she finally does and behold she was beautiful.

Love makes everyone beautiful on the inside as well as the outside.
